Jesus Makes the Day !

As I was driving past a Baptist church, the sign on the front read  "Without Jesus, Christmas is a hollow day!" Wow, I really like that.  It expresses everything about the true meaning of this holiday; a holiday that has become more about the bottom line of each store than the life giving truth of what it's all about.

The prophets in the old testament had proclaimed the coming of a Savoir, One that would save His people and ultimately reign over all with love.

If it is not illegal or a sin, it is okay to celebrate Christmas any way we like, but we would do well not to forget Jesus, because He is truly the reason for the season.  We need to remember God first, and everything else will not only be added, but also blessed!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.  (Isaiah 9:6)
